The Quest for the Lost TPS Report
Elara, a warrior of questionable renown and even more questionable patience, stood before the High Council. "The Orb of Utter Mundanity, also known as the 'Tactical Prioritization System Report,' has gone missing!" boomed Lord Archibald, whose voice perpetually sounded like he was dictating a memo. "Without it, the Kingdom of Spreadsheet will descend into... well, even more spreadsheets!"
Her quest began with a mandatory "Pre-Quest Risk Assessment" form, eight pages long, requiring three signatures, two notarizations, and a blood sample (later clarified as 'just a formality, please use a red ink pen'). She sought the wisdom of Gandalf the Grey, who now worked in "Interdepartmental Communications" and was mostly grey from staring at Excel spreadsheets. "To find the TPS Report," he rasped, "you must navigate the Labyrinth of Unanswered Emails, brave the Caverns of Corporate Policy, and finally, confront the Dragon of Data Entry, known for its hoard of misplaced invoices and its fiery breath of 'I told you to save that to the shared drive!'"
Elara gathered her fellowship: Barnaby, a halfling skilled in "Advanced Filing Systems," and Ser Reginald, a knight whose sword was less sharp than his ability to find the relevant clause in any user agreement. Their journey was perilous. They scaled Mount Olympus of Paperwork (mostly just a really tall pile of unfiled documents). They outsmarted the Goblins of Groupthink by simply nodding enthusiastically and agreeing to all their terrible ideas.
Finally, they reached the Dragon of Data Entry. It was indeed a colossal beast, albeit one hunched over a desktop computer, muttering about 'pixelated interfaces.' "You seek the TPS Report?" it roared, its voice surprisingly high-pitched for such a creature. "It's on line 37B of Appendix C, filed under 'Miscellaneous Office Supplies,' then cross-referenced in 'Emergency Snacks,' which then links to 'Pending Vacation Requests.' Oh, and it's due yesterday."
Elara stared. "It's… it's in a file?"
The dragon sniffed. "Where else would it be? Did you check the 'Lost and Found' bin next to the coffee machine first?"
Elara returned to the High Council, clutching a single, slightly crinkled piece of paper. "I found it."
Lord Archibald beamed. "Excellent! Now we can finally... wait, what does this even do?"
Elara shrugged. "I think it means we can start planning next year's budget review meeting." And thus, the cycle continued.
